Cambridge University

The newly refurbished David Attenborough building is situated in the heart of Cambridge University, as part of the New Museums Site. Originally built in the 1960’s, the refurbishment modernised and re-invented the building as a conservation for the Cambridge Conservation Initiative and the Museum and Department of Zoology.

Merriott manufactured and supplied 353 Radiavectors, low level high performance radiators which complement the floor-to-ceiling glass panels which feature throughout the building. Further to this, they provide a pleasant climate throughout the open plan interior.

Also featured on the project were 52 vertical Precision radiators. These sit  in the small offices, with their linear design adding a stylish feature to their surroundings.

In addition, Merriott provided bathroom radiators and horizontal Precision radiators for student accommodation in the University’s Dockett building.
