Merriott’s Shield radiator is a safe and quality one box heating solution manufactured with performance and efficiency in mind. The strong, robust casing complies with NHS Guidelines so will not exceed a touch temperature of 43 degrees, and houses a light, high output aluminium fin coiled tube heater.

The Shield is available in 4 heights and in lengths from 400mm to 2600mm. 4 different types, 4 grill configurations, 5 different depths and a twin option are also available to drastically boost the output of your radiator if required.

The fin coil convector itself is made from pure aluminium and copper and finished in graphite black. Not only is it high performing, but extremely efficient due to the low water content, allowing it to heat up fast without consuming vast amounts of energy.

The casing that shields the emitter is manufactured from electronically galvanised steel and comes finished in scratch proof, high UV resistance epoxy polyester powder paint, adding to the remarkable quality of this design. Various RAL colours are available on request at a surcharge, meaning the Convector can harmonise with the most unique colour themes.

Warranty

Merriott products are guaranteed for a period of 10 years from date of purchase in respect of defective materials and workmanship. The system should be designed in accordance with British Standard Code of Practice for Water Based Heating Systems in Buildings BS EN 12828:2012+A1:2014 and BS EN 12831: 2003. The installation and commissioning of the system should comply with BS EN 14336:2004. On completion of the installation, the system should be properly flushed and filled in accordance with the British Code of Practice for the Treatment of Water in Domestic Hot Water Central Heating Systems BS 7593:2006, Part L of Building Regulations and Good Practice Guidance for Scotland. Merriott strongly recommends the use of corrosion inhibitor for all applications. Failure to observe these standards may invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.
